The Football is Medicine Conference 2026 welcomes the presentation of abstracts on the following main topics:

• Cardiovascular & Metabolic Health;
• Cancer, Diabetes, and Other Patient Groups;
• Mental Disorders and Wellbeing;
• Recreational team sports

After undergoing the review process, all authors will be informed via email about the acceptance or rejection of their submission (10/11/2025).

Authors are free to choose between Oral Presentation or Poster Presentation as a preferred format during the abstract submission process.

Guidelines for Oral Presentation:

• Oral Presentations are given 15 minutes (including Q&A);
• Abstracts should not exceed 400 words and 6 keywords;
• The PowerPoint template provided in the link below should be used for presentations;

Guidelines for Poster Presentation:

• Abstracts should not exceed 250 words and 6 keywords;
• Authors are free to use a free design option, and posters should follow the 841 mm x 1189 mm measurements;
• Poster Presentations are given 5 minutes (including Q&A);

There will be awards for Best Poster & Oral Presentation, Best FIM Project of the Year, and Young Investigators Award (Only up to 36 years old).

The award categories will be judged by the scientific committee and the prizes will be awarded at the conference’s closing ceremony.
